Tangerine summer beauty edit, four warm toned must haves

Summer is doing that thing where it sneaks up on you. One week you're still wrapped in a fluffy robe and hot chocolate. The next, you're digging through the bathroom drawer for SPF and wondering where that tinted lip balm went. Sound familiar?

This year I'm leaning all the way into a tangerine summer. Think warm peachy nails, that toasted golden glow, beach skin and coconuts, and a sunscreen that actually feels nice to put on. I rounded up four products that have basically lived on my vanity for the past month, and I want to share them because they changed how I feel about my whole summer routine.

Quick heads up before I dive in. Some of these are affiliate links, which means I might earn a tiny commission if you grab one through me. It doesn't cost you anything extra and it helps me keep selfcaring.eu running. Cool? Cool.

Sol de Janeiro Jet Set (Bum Bum)

This little kit is the reason I get compliments at the supermarket now. The Bum Bum cream is rich without being greasy, and the scent is that famous pistachio salted caramel vanilla blend that smells like summer in a bottle. The jet set version comes with the body cream and the perfume mist, so you can layer them and the scent actually sticks around. I spritz the mist after my shower, smooth on the cream, and I'm done. Travel size friendly, easy to throw in a beach bag, and it makes you smell like the main character.

If you've never tried the Sol de Janeiro range, this is the kit I'd start with. You get to try both formats without committing to a full size, and the scent travels really well in warm weather

Paula's Choice 5% Vitamin C Day Cream SPF 50

If I had to pick one product on this list, it's this one from Paula's Choice. SPF 50 is non negotiable for my face, and most sunscreens leave my skin feeling like a glazed donut. This one moisturises, brightens, and the three vitamin C derivatives actually do something visible. After two weeks I noticed my old sunspots looking softer and my skin tone looking more even.

It plays really nice with sensitive skin too. No stinging, no weird breakouts, no white cast. I use it under makeup on busy days, or on its own when I want that barely there summer look. For me it ticks all the boxes a daytime moisturiser should tick, and it saves me a step in the morning because the SPF is built in.

Essie Apricot Jelly, shade 120

I am a sucker for warm orange tones in summer, and Apricot Jelly is the exact shade I keep reaching for. It's juicy, slightly sheer, and gives your nails that sun ripened look without screaming for attention. Two coats give you a soft jelly finish, three coats build up to something more saturated and glossy.

It pairs really well with bronzed skin and gold jewellery, and it works on long and short nails. The formula is forgiving so you don't need to be a nail artist to make it look polished. Honestly, this is the shade I'd pack if I could only take one polish on holiday.

Skin1004 Centella Asiatica ampoule, 100ml

This is the calm down product in my routine. Summer means more sun, more sweat, and more breakouts, and my skin tends to throw little tantrums when the temperature climbs. The Skin1004 ampoule is 100% Centella Asiatica extract from Madagascar, and it soothes redness within minutes.

I use it morning and night, a few drops pressed into clean skin before my moisturiser. It also works really well with the Paula's Choice SPF on top, no pilling, no weird texture. If you have sensitive or acne prone skin, this is the one I'd suggest you try first. The 100ml size is generous and it lasts ages, so the price per use is honestly very reasonable.

How I use them together

My summer routine is short on purpose. Morning starts with the Skin1004 ampoule, then the Paula's Choice SPF 50. After my evening shower I spritz the Sol de Janeiro mist and rub in the Bum Bum cream. Nails get repainted on Sunday with Apricot Jelly while I watch something light on Netflix. That's it. No fuss, no thirty step routine, no panic when I'm running late.

Four products, one warm tangerine vibe, and a routine that actually fits into a busy summer.

Build your own tangerine summer edit

If you're putting together your own warm toned summer beauty stash, these four are a really solid starting point. They cover scent, sun protection, soothing skincare, and the little nail detail that ties it all together.

Try one. Try all four. Then come tell me which one became your favourite, because I am always nosey about what other people are reaching for. You can find more posts like this over on selfcaring.eu where I share my honest takes on what's working and what isn't.

Have a glowy, peachy, salty haired summer. You've earned it.
